This role will focus on the research, design, implementation, and maintenance of APIs, supporting the organizations shift towards an API-first approach. This position requires hands-on API development, operational support, and Java expertise. Key Responsibilities: API Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for API integrations, guiding teams across the organization. Development: Build and update microservices and APIs, working closely with development teams and business units. Collaboration: Work with analysts, Scrum Masters, and API teams to develop the product backlog and implement solutions. Code Reviews: Oversee peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Policy Development: Create and maintain API policies, procedures, and governance processes. Integration Design: Design solutions for cloud-native applications across public, private, and hybrid clouds. API Management: Develop integrations using modern API management frameworks for both B2B and B2C scenarios. Continuous Learning: Track industry trends in the financial services technology landscape and share insights with leadership. Emergency Support: Participate in on-call rotation and deployment activities for technical support. Qualifications: Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Java, JEE, web services, and RESTful/SOAP APIs. Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, P, Pivotal/Tanzu, and Kubernetes. Security: Expertise in implementing API security using OAuth, SAML, JWT, and OpenID Connect. Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks like SAFe. Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Problem-Solving: Advanced skills in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and collaboration. Education: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
