Conduct a detailed assessment of the acquired companys current Microsoft 365 environment to identify potential issues, data redundancies, and opportunities for optimizing the new, unified environment. 4. Ensure seamless migration and consolidation of email systems (Exchange Online), including mailboxes, distribution lists, archives, and email routing, while minimizing downtime and data loss. 5. Collaborate with stakeholders to migrate and restructure SharePoint sites, document libraries, and Teams channels, ensuring proper permissions, governance, and collaboration tools are maintained in alignment with the larger companys policies. 6. Provide post-migration support, including troubleshooting, end-user training, and documentation, while optimizing the integrated Microsoft 365 environment for enhanced productivity, security, and collaboration across teams. This role focuses on ensuring a comprehensive and secure migration of collaboration tools with minimal disruption to business operations. Role 1: Senior Windows SME with AWS expertise Location: Plano, TX Hybrid 1. Lead the migration of Windows-based servers, applications, and file shares from the acquired companys infrastructure to the parent companys environment, utilizing AWS services for scalable, secure, and efficient transitions. 2. Design and implement migration strategies for Windows Server environments, leveraging AWS tools like AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), AWS Directory Service, and EC2 for Windows instances to ensure seamless and secure transfers. 3. Conduct an assessment of existing Windows Server environments, including applications and file shares, to identify potential risks, dependencies, and optimizations prior to migration. 4. Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure that migrated applications and file shares meet the parent companys compliance, security, and performance standards, particularly around IAM, encryption, and disaster recovery. 5. Provide hands-on support for application rehosting, replatforming, or refactoring where necessary, ensuring compatibility and performance in the target AWS environment. 6. Develop detailed documentation and provide post-migration support, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization for the newly integrated Windows Server applications and file systems on AWS.
