API Design and Development: o Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance GraphQL APIs using Apollo Server. o Ensure the APIs are robust, secure, and adhere to best practices. o Develop efficient data fetching and caching strategies. 2. Collaboration and Leadership: o Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support in the implementation of GraphQL APIs. o Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to integrate GraphQL APIs with with front-end and back-end services. o Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. 3. Code Quality and Best Practices: o Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration. o Implement and promote best practices for API design, development, and deployment. o Maintain comprehensive documentation for the APIs and related processes. 4. Performance Optimization: o Monitor and optimize the performance of GraphQL APIs. o Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability issues. o Implement caching and other performance-enhancing techniques. 5. Security and Compliance: o Ensure APIs comply with security standards and data privacy regulations. o Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms. o Conduct regular security assessments and audits. 6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: o Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to GraphQL and API development. o Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the development process and product quality. o Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development team. Experience and Qualifications : 1. Education: o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus. 2. Technical Skills: o 5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on API design and development. o Extensive experience with Apollo GraphQL and Apollo Server. o Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. o Experience with frontend technologies such as React.js, including Apollo Client integration. o Strong understanding of RESTful services and how GraphQL differs from and complements REST. o Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 3. Soft Skills: o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. o Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. o Effective communication and collaboration skills. o Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 4.
