Role: Business Analyst in Insurance Domain Location: Columbus, OH (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Visa : Only H1B with Passport Number Role Description: Responsibilities: Understand and analyze insurance-related business processes and workflows. Gather and document detailed business requirements. Create functional specifications, user stories, and process models. Identify gaps and areas for improvement in insurance operations (e.g., claims, underwriting, policy management). Work with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and management. Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams. Facilitate workshops/meetings to gather and clarify requirements. Ensure that business requirements are translated into technical solutions. Support the design, testing, and implementation of solutions. Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and support end users. Maintain documentation for processes, requirements, and system changes. Prepare reports, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders and leadership. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance industry. Identify risks and create mitigation strategies. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve processes. Propose innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Certifications like CBAP or CCBA are a plus. 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the insurance domain. Knowledge of insurance operations such as claims, underwriting, and policy administration. Experience with business process modeling, data analysis, and system integration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Jira). Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and project management skills. Detail-oriented and able to handle complex data. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
