Job Description: Job Title: Data Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong SQL expertise and experience in ETL tools to develop and execute data integration solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather data requirements, build data pipelines, and ensure high data quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute ETL processes primarily using SQL and selected ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Ab Initio, PowerCenter, Databricks). Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. Write complex SQL queries to manipulate and aggregate data for reporting and analysis. Automate data workflows according to established runbooks. Assist in data modeling and provide technical guidance in the implementation of data solutions. Ensure compliance with data management best practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience (7 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with database management systems and ETL/ELT processes. Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL (required). Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Abinitio, PowerCenter, Databricks) (required). Basic Python knowledge (preferred). Familiarity with healthcare data (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of data movement concepts and database design principles. Working Conditions: 100% remote work with quarterly in-person meetings. Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively. Location Preference: Candidates based in the DMV area are preferred.
