Job: Mainframe Quality Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA - Hybrid - (Need Locals) Duration: Long Term Contract 10+ Years and passport Number is must for Submission. Job Description : - Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mainframe applications. - Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and identify testing requirements. - Perform manual and automated testing, including regression, performance, and integration testing. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues. - Implement best practices for quality assurance processes and methodologies. - Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, sharing expertise in testing tools and strategies. - Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports. - Participate in project planning, providing estimates and insights on quality assurance timelines. - Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mainframe testing tools and methodologies. **Qualifications:** - 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on mainframe applications. - Proficiency in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. - Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., SilkTest, QTP, or similar). - Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with performance testing and tuning of mainframe applications. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
