Required: Primary Skills: SQLServer 2019, 2017 - Advanced Availability Groups and AlwaysOn - Advanced TSQL Language - Advanced Management Skills: SQL Server application database support - Advanced Communicate effectively with application development groups - Intermediate Additional Skills: Microsoft Excel - Intermediate Power - Beginner Responsibilities: Interacts with functional representatives, business analysts, database analysts, and application development project teams to support the effective storage and retrieval of data. Demonstrates a significant understanding and analysis of applications transformation of data into business information. Implements and maintains the enterprises production and development databases. Details of Position: Investigates complex problems, proactively monitor performance, apply advanced knowledge of SQL internals for troubleshooting, perform complex index analysis. Works with the application development teams to design database schemas and propose SQL Server functionality to solve business problems. Will not be doing migrations, backups or maintenance. The Sr. DBA will be required to have experience in the following areas: Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Provide support for critical production systems. Support release deployment activities after hours.
