Role: Android Developer Location: Pleasanton, CA (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Visa : Only H1B with passport Number Role Description: Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications with a focus on mobile computing and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, and backend developers) to define, design, and ship new features. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance for enhanced user satisfaction. Utilize mobile computing principles to enhance data handling, connectivity, and processing in mobile applications. Implement UI/UX design, ensuring compliance with Android design principles and best practices. Perform unit testing to ensure reliability, quality, and performance of applications. Integrate APIs, libraries, and SDKs for added functionality and performance improvements. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile computing and Android development. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Android Developer with a solid understanding of mobile computing principles. Proficient in Java and Kotlin, with a strong understanding of the Android SDK. Experience in working with remote data via REST and JSON. Knowledge of mobile computing concepts such as distributed processing, connectivity (Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi), and optimization for low-resource environments. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Experience with version control tools like Git. Familiarity with Firebase, Google Play Services, and other Android development libraries. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Preferred Skills Experience in cloud computing and integrating mobile applications with cloud platforms. Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile development. Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Flutter for cross-platform app development.
