You should also understand the basic concepts of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and error handling Should know the protocols, standards, models, and architectures that govern network communication, such as TCP/IP, OSI, Ethernet, VLAN, IP, ARP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and more. You should also be able to troubleshoot network issues using tools such as ping, traceroute, telnet, SSH, or Wireshark.
