Company/Location: Aventiv/Securus Technologies. Heavy preference for someone living in the Dallas/Plano area, but will consider fully remote for the right person Official Title/Assigned Title: Solutions Architect, AWS stack Solutions Architect with network knowledge Direct Hire/Contract/Contract to hire: Contract to hire, 6+ months Duties:- *Design and architect full-stack solutions built on the AWS technology stack. *Microservices architecture, working with Typescript, Node and React. *Involvement in technology platform evaluations and decisions. *Designing solutions on a variety of database types from PostgreSQL and No SQL. *Designing applications for large scale media content delivery, working with streaming/messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. *Working with Android tablets as the media for utilizing the applications. *Understanding and evaluating network infrastructure and bandwidth to take into account when creating solutions. *Caching in AWS at the local and cloud level. *Continual evaluation of bandwidth and application optimization. Required Skills:- *14+ years of overall experience, with at least a couple years of Architecture experience. They need to hold pretty firm to 14 years of overall experience (might consider around 13) to meet internally equity. *AWS stack experience is a must, with a focus on serverless architecture. Not just a candidate focused on CI/CD pipelines in AWS, but a Solution Architect that knows Lamda, Node, and other technologies within AWS. *Need to have Solutions Architecture experience, not just an application architect. Working with tasks like formalized technology/platform evaluations. *SQL experience, ideally with a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases. *Javascript experience. *Understanding of how to design scalable solutions, and an understanding of networking bandwidth and how to build highly optimized applications that can run on limited bandwidth. Ie, within the prisons their internet will have 4000 users running on bandwidth built for a handful of users- this person has to design applications that can load in these scenarios. **Not an absolute must, but a very heavy preference to have Microservices framework experience. Preferred Skills:- *Android experience is highly preferred. *Experience with large scale media content delivery over the internet. *Postgres SQL and/or Elastic/Opensearch experience. *Good understanding of networking and protocols, VPN, and routing. *React, Node, and/or Angular experience. *Understanding of application security. *Bachelors Degree. *AWS and/or Android certifications.
