Core Engine Calibration Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities Triage, commissioning and testing of internal combustion and high voltage vehicle propulsion systems. AEngine calibration engineer should have experience in following Experience with dyno calibration processes Experience with standard dyno equipment, emissions equipment, CAS and other generally use instrumentation in engine test laboratories. Thorough understanding of fundamental combustion systems, control strategies and calibration techniques Thorough understanding of dyno and test automation, test scheduling with the aim maximize unmanned operation in third shifts and weekend operation, utilizing manned hours for more complex measurements that require manual operation Thorough understanding of engine out emissions calibration and strategies to minimize tailpipe emissions during cold catalyst operation Thorough understanding of all vehicle related functionalities, including, but not limited to, drivability functionality Fundamental understanding of Calibration and Dataset management, Calibration Release requirements. Analytical and Methodological work standards, organized and precise working standards. Used to working with high volumes of data, able to differentiate and structure data, and keeping track of changes.nalyzing current issues at a propulsion system level and eventual issues coming from interaction with other nodes in the vehicle development process Responsible for performing powertrain debugging and investigating software/calibration issues on pre-production vehicles. Perform first level analysis for each issue including data collection and data analysis. Coordinate with the stakeholders like vehicle build team, SW/Calibrators, EE wiring team to resolve the issues. Provide structured feedback on the issues that are triaged to the immediate supervisors and other stakeholders. Coordination experience with other stake holders for data gathering/ resolution
