Sr. Windows Engineer (PA Department of Labor and Industry) Location: Harrisburg, PA - local candidates only Contract Length: 8 months Position Overview:- The role involves managing a large-scale Active Directory and messaging system for Central PA, supporting over 100,000 accounts, with primary responsibilities in Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for both on-premises and Azure Active Directory. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of IT experience, expertise in Active Directory architecture and security, and proficiency in Power and Microsoft technologies. Duties:- Manage and support a large, multi-domain Active Directory environment, including on-premises Exchange 2019, Windows 2022, and Microsoft 365, serving over 100,000 accounts. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for both on-premises and Azure Active Directory, ensuring high availability and security. Act as the Senior AD Architect, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting robust Active Directory structures and disaster recovery plans. Develop, document, and enforce security standards and access controls to maintain system integrity. Utilize Power for automation and scripting to streamline administrative tasks, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system performance. Required Skills:- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience. 4 year college degree in related discipline required. 5 to 10 years of experience in administering Active Directory environments containing multiple sites leveraging Windows Server 2008 and higher. Strong knowledge in managing Active Directory 2016/2019/2022 infrastructure for the Enterprise. Experience with DNS and Key Management Service (KMS). Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is required Strong experience in Power is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to speak directly and professionally.
