http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=1921074&uid= Job Title - Non-destructive Evaluation Quality Analyst (Engineer) Location : Decatur, IL Bld W, B & D Daily Schedule M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with some OT & Travel expected Job Description As a Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer, you will be a part of a larger NDE/metallurgical laboratory inspection team tasked with assuring the quality of mining and construction equipment and components. You will work in a hands-on NDE role supporting industrial fabrication production and processes. Your scope of responsibilities will include Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array UT, Radiography, Visual Testing of welds, and Magnetic Particle inspection methods. Additionally, you will support process engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality teams focused on fabrication and casting inspections by creating and maintaining inspection standard work, inspection procedures, process quality metrics, and monitoring audit data integrity. The NDE engineer role supports a world class manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, which maintains an ISO accredited certified quality environment. The successful candidate will be trained and certified in the Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array UT, Radiography, Visual Testing of welds, and Magnetic Particle inspection methods in an ISO certified organization. Once trained, qualified candidate will have inspection responsibilities at customer job sites and/or support NDE supplier audits domestically and internationally. Candidate will need a and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is expected. Qualified candidates will have Associate of Applied Science in Non-destructive Testing Technology or equivalent certifications. Material management. Print interpretation. Non-destructive evaluation. Documentation. Communication. Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers & external suppliers. Interaction with team: - This position will interact with several team members including the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Caterpillar Decatur quality team & external suppliers. Work environment: - Mostly shop with some office/desk included for most of the documentation & communication. Additional work environments including supplier locations.
