Job Title: - Senior Open-source/ Open shift Developer Location: - : Lansing, MI 48933 (Hybrid 2 days a week) Terms: - Contract Job Details: Top Skills & Years of Experience Required: Experience with application deployment within containers; specifically Red Hat OpenShift. Must have current experience with Kubernetes. Experience with web application development and strong interest in expanding skillset including Elixir and ReactJS. Experience with a different functional language like Scala, Haskell, or Clojure is helpful if no Elixir experience. Experience installing and configuring open-source SQL databases such as PostgreSQL. Experience troubleshooting database connections, performing back-ups, and developing queries. Experience with configuration management and source code repositories including use of Helm, Quay for container images, and GitHub. As a Senior Open-source Developer, support system development for the Department of Technology Management & Budget (DTMB), in support of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Unit. This individual will be responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of open-source software applications. The software could include relational databases, web servers, and middleware applications that transform data or perform searches. There will be a focus on development tasks to support and maintain applications.
