Role: SAP EDI Developer Location: Boston, MA (Only Locals or Nearby) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Role Description: Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement EDI solutions in SAP to facilitate seamless data exchange with external partners. Manage EDI interfaces, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely and accurate data transmission. Configure, map, and test EDI messages (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices) to SAP IDoc formats. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to gather requirements and ensure compatibility of EDI solutions. Perform regular maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of EDI processes and systems. Document EDI configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and troubleshooting. Provide technical support for EDI issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions. Work with SAP ABAP developers to address integration and custom development needs related to EDI. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data integrity throughout EDI transactions. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years of experience in SAP EDI development and integration. Proficiency in configuring EDI processes within SAP, including working with IDocs, mapping, and troubleshooting. Experience with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, HTTP). Familiarity with SAP modules such as SD, MM, and FI. Strong understanding of SAP IDoc structure, message types, and workflows. Knowledge of SAP ABAP is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
