Job Title: Database Administrator Location : US LOCALS ONLY (Only Profile) Durations: 12+ Months Responsibility:- The client is looking for a well-rounded and motivated DBA to join its Information Technology team which is responsible for end-to-end Database management. What you will do Design and Setup DR for cloud databases - Aurora PostgreSQL Global, Dynamo DB etc.. Setup the data replication from/to PostgreSQL/Aurora to Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Redshift etc.. Prioritize work based on the project needs and work effectively with minimum supervision. Manage, Monitor, Troubleshoot Database Operations, Optimize database performance, tuning. Manage the implementation, maintenance and enforcement of effective industry standard processes and policies across environments. Implement high availability, replication, and cluster on databases. Database refreshes in cloud. Requirement gathering, end to end planning and implementation of projects related to databases. Support application release deployment and perform data fixes. Working with the application team to rewrite the Stored Procedures. Troubleshooting performance issues in real time. Work in a globally distributed team in an Agile/Scrum approach Provide routine status reports to leadership and escalate as necessary. Maintain Service Levels and department goals for problem resolution. Follow security stands and effectively manage software patches and upgrades. Utilize best practices, standard procedures. Write and maintain clear documentation. Ensure 24x7 availability for critical database systems hosted on AWS & Azure Cloud. Be available to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for the team. Must have 8+ yrs of relevant hands-on experience in Postgres, NoSQL Databases Management 5+ Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Willingness to learn open source / other databases technologies. Automation experience using /Python Good to have Understanding and ability to work with Infrastructure as code, CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform Working knowledge on NoSQL , DynamoDB etc. Knowledge on performance benchmarking and monitoring tool - datadog , splunk , Jmeter Knowledge on Glue, Lambda etc..
