Job Role: Citrix Admin with VMware Location: Burlington, MA - Day 1 Onsite Job Type: C2C (Contract) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Citrix Administrator with strong proficiency in VMware technologies to manage, configure, and support the company's virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and related systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Citrix environments, virtualized infrastructure, and related technologies, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our virtual desktop and application delivery solutions. Key Responsibilities: Citrix Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), Citrix Delivery Controllers, Citrix Gateway, Citrix Studio, and Citrix Director. Monitor Citrix environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system performance and availability. Manage Citrix licensing, updates, and patches. Provide end-user support for Citrix-based applications and virtual desktops. Implement and manage Citrix policies and user profiles. Work with Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policies to ensure seamless Citrix integration. VMware Administration: Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, and VMware Horizon for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for virtualized environments. Implement and maintain VMware templates, snapshots, and backup solutions for virtual machines. Provide regular system updates, patches, and version upgrades to VMware components. Configure and troubleshoot VMware HA, DRS, and vMotion for high availability and load balancing. Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for virtual desktop and application delivery solutions. Ensure the integrity and security of virtualized environments by implementing appropriate security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and access control. Integrate Citrix and VMware solutions with other infrastructure components such as storage, networking, and security appliances. Work closely with the networking team to optimize connectivity between Citrix and VMware environments. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide escalated support for Citrix and VMware-related incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user access, performance, and connectivity in Citrix and VMware environments. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement preventative measures. Documentation & Reporting: Document configuration settings, troubleshooting steps, and incident resolutions for Citrix and VMware systems. Maintain detailed records of all changes to the infrastructure environment. Generate reports on system performance, usage, and capacity for management review.
