Position: UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR Location: Remote Duration: Contract Experience: 12+ above SCOPE OF WORK: SMUD is seeking an experienced UNIX System Administrator to assist the Information Technology Team. The Leased Employee will be responsible for the following areas of work: AIX/IBM System Administrator, Maintenance, Upgrades, and Troubleshooting. Provisions AIX virtual server builds in PowerVM. Maintain documentation and diagrams associated with UNIX infrastructure environment. AIX/IBM Vulnerability Remediation. App Migrations from AIX/IBM to RHEL/x86. IBM Power Lifecycle Migration. AIX LPAR Integration with CMDB. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration, Maintenance, Upgrades, and Troubleshooting. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Vulnerability Remediation. Other Duties as assigned. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Minimum five (5) years experience Must have experience with either IBM Power and AIX in an Enterprise level environment. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Experience with system build process and procedures in a virtual environment. Experience with troubleshooting of AIX based environment. Experience with the creation of monitoring capabilities to assist in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of the UNIX based environment. Experience with IBM POWERVM virtualization environment (AIX) Experience hardening Operating Systems to meet information security standards. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience with scripting/programming. Experience with PowerHA. Experience with IBM Big Fix Patch Management. Experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring. Experience with Ansible. Experience with physical server hardware break/fix. Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in an enterprise environment. Keywords: |
