Job Title: Workday HCM Technical Consultant Job Type: [Contract] Location: [Plano, TX Day 1 Onsite] Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Workday HCM Technical Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. As a consultant, you will work closely with clients to design, develop, and optimize Workday HCM solutions, ensuring the seamless integration of HR processes and technology. Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Configuration : Lead the design and implementation of Workday HCM modules, including Core HR, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Time Tracking, and Payroll. System Customization : Configure and customize Workday functionality based on business requirements and ensure best practices are followed for system setup. : Work closely with client stakeholders to understand business processes, identify system requirements, and offer solutions that improve business outcomes. Integration : Develop, test, and implement integrations between Workday and other systems (e.g., payroll, finance, external HRIS tools). Troubleshooting & Support : Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, resolving issues related to HCM processes, configurations, or integrations. Training : Develop training materials and provide end-user training to ensure smooth adoption of Workday HCM solutions. Documentation : Prepare detailed system documentation, including functional and technical specifications, user guides, and system design documentation. Upgrades & Enhancements : Stay up to date with Workday updates and releases, advising clients on new features and enhancements to improve system performance and capabilities. Testing & Quality Assurance : Lead or participate in system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and fostering trust in Workday HCM solutions. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Certifications in Workday HCM (Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Payroll, etc.) are highly preferred. Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Workday HCM configuration and implementation. Strong hands-on experience with at least one or more Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Payroll, Time Tracking, etc.). Proven experience in integrating Workday HCM with other systems (e.g., finance, payroll, third-party applications). Experience with Workday report creation and data management. Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in Workday Studio, Workday Web Services (WWS), and Workday Report Writer. Knowledge of Workdays security model, business process framework, and object model. Familiarity with integration technologies such as EIB, iPaaS, and Cloud Connect. Experience with data conversion and system testing in Workday environments. Soft Skills : Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Workday Certification(s) in relevant HCM modules. Experience with Agile methodologies or project management. Experience working with global clients and multi-country payroll configurations. Familiarity with other HRIS systems and enterprise software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft). Knowledge of HR processes and practices, including payroll, benefits, and talent management.
