Contract-to-hire (must be eligible to be hired without sponsorship- Green Card Holder/Permanent Resident or US Citizen only) Location: Hybrid- Eden Prairie, MN. Must work onsite 2 days/week (Tuesdays required, 2nd day is flexible). Must be local to MN and able to interview in-person to be considered for the job. Experience Level: 5+ years of experience required Seeking a Technical Systems Analyst thats experienced working with ERP applications and has experience in data analysis . They use Syspro as their ERP, but will consider any type of ERP experience . Looking for someone who understands ERP processes (how they work, what happens in the backend infrastructure of the database, understand operation activities related to AP, AR, purchasing activities, etc.). Having SQL knowledge is extremely important for this role as this is a backend technical role involving a lot of ticket activity, problem solving, resolving break fix issues, and supporting their production environments. Must be comfortable working independently and be an excellent communicator thats comfortable interacting with customers to get to the root cause of issues and fix things. Under limited supervisor, the IT Systems Analyst provides support for existing business systems and implementations of new systems for business operations. Support for these systems includes an understanding of the basic functionality and business processes, configuration, database structure and technology supporting the system. Responsibilities Production Support (50%) Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, support, and operations of business systems. Help ensure functionality and usability of the business systems are aligned with priorities and enable end-users to do their work efficiently and effectively. Participate on the team responsible for diagnosing and resolving business system issues to ensure optimal performance and usability for the end-users. Provide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements. Accountable for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations tasks required for the ongoing functionality of the business systems. Programming and debugging to develop queries/reports of varying complexity and to troubleshoot and fix programmatic issues. Ensure business systems are effectively designed, developed, tested, and implemented to support increased efficiency and effectiveness of the business and meet the business requirements (20%) Responsible for participation in the design, development, vendor evaluation, implementation, and management of software application projects. Understand the Business Understands the basic business functions and requirements supporting business operations. Identify Opportunities for Improvement - Uses current knowledge of the business requirements and system capabilities to assist in the identification of opportunities for increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Helps with the formulation of improvement plans and presentations to leadership. Implement new systems or enhancements to existing business systems Assist in devising ways to add new functionality or enhancements to existing business systems. Assist in the design and develop of new systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software. Assist in the installation and configuration of new business systems. Conduct testing to ensure that the business system works as expected. Train the business system subject matter experts (SME) and end-users. Document business systems for efficient and effective support. Communicate Issues and Changes - Responsible for proactively communicating upcoming planned business system changes to end-users and management. Timely communication of unplanned business system issues and changes to minimize negative impact to the business. Task Management: Prioritize, Plan, and Coordinate the assigned work to complete initiatives (20%) Monitor all task and project progress to ensure that deadlines and objectives are met. Reports progress against job description responsibilities, objectives, results and issues to colleagues and management Coordinates their work assignments to ensure effective execution Ensures effective and thorough communication for any application initiatives Ensures Positive End-User Experience with business systems (10%) Effectively communicates results, progress, and issues to internal customers and management. Ensure effective communication and training (in person or verbal whenever possible) takes place to ensure effective use of business systems. Ensures technology issues impacting end-users are identified, prioritized, and addressed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration or related field. Minimum five years experience with increasing responsibility in systems analysis and/or business analysis. Must have ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks. Independent judgment required in setting priorities of tasks amongst multiple assigned projects. Knowledge of business systems, including familiarity with financial/manufacturing/business applications, HR applications, compliance applications, or others, sufficient to use and support interactive applications and to plan and perform medium- to large-scale projects. Knowledge of Syspro ERP a plus.
