In this critical role, you will play a leadership role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights for data analysts and scientists. You will be a technical expert, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance data pipelines using one or more hyperscaler cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Architect and implement complex data solutions utilizing your expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, data lakes, and big data technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Spark). Champion data quality by establishing best practices, developing data quality checks, and monitoring processes. Mentor and guide junior Data Engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, define data models, and translate them into technical solutions. Document data pipelines, data models, and code effectively for knowledge transfer and maintainability. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, ensuring data integrity and availability. Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud platforms. Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or related role. Proven track record of designing and implementing high-performance data pipelines. In-depth expertise in Advanced SQL and Python. Mastery of a leading hyperscaler cloud platform (AWS) Extensive experience with data modeling and designing snowflake/star schemas for Enterprise business data Extensive experience with data warehousing (Snowflake) Experience with establishing CI/CD Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. A strong problem-solving mentality with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues. A passion for mentoring and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. Bonus points: Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Spark Streaming). Experience with cloud-based data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi). Experience with data governance and security best practices.
