Job Description: Posting Title: Communications Infrastructure Coordinator, Voice, and Collaboration Services GW Information Technology is the chief provider of technology services and applications at GW. The area partners with all key stakeholders across GW to equip students, faculty, and staff with the technology and tools necessary to achieve academic excellence. This position works within GW Information Technology and ensures collaboration with both University stakeholders and external vendors. This experienced technical professional has a solid understanding of and ability to manage, analyze, design, configure, implement, and support software features and applications in a Unified Communications multi-vendor environment. The candidate optimally would be familiar with multi-location higher education or corporate campus environments. This role assists with design and is responsible for the building and support of the GW Unified Communications infrastructure. This includes actively participating in system upgrades; moves, adds, and changes to UC endpoints and assigned numbers while leveraging automation to optimize these tasks. Ownership of the database supporting UC and 3rd party billing is also necessary. This role is involved in programming through API interfaces and administratively through collaboration platforms. Change control and change management are equally important skillsets to help successfully implement system maintenance and change. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated motivation towards troubleshooting issues within the unified communications system. Duties also include mentoring less experienced technical staff and serving as an escalation point for more complicated issues. Performs other related duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience being self-motivated to drive, explore, and learn new technologies. Network troubleshooting and a foundational understanding of network architecture and methodologies necessary. Professional administration experience with Zoom, and AWS. Familiar with ITIL management principles. Zoom Phone and Digital Workspace experience. Cisco CUCM knowledge is a plus. Specific experience working with Call Center technologies, and call flows. Specific automation within AWS Connect or other AWS services and other platforms is a plus. Experience with Python, or other object-oriented programming languages. Ability to manage, administer, support, train in, and troubleshoot system applications and their infrastructure environment. Demonstrated technical problem identification, mitigation, and problem-solving skills, superior service orientation and excellent attention to details. Exposure to a range of enterprise-wide software systems, both on-premises and cloud based, networks, and devices. System specific training and certification. Experience working in the higher education environment a plus. Vendor management experience. Top Skills: Cisco and Zoom experience. Cisco > Zoom migration experience would be wonderful.
