This role focuses on enhancing our systems and processes in areas such as residential mortgages, settlements, and trade processing. Responsibilities: Analyze and map backend workflows, particularly in settlements, trade processing, and residential mortgage operations, to identify improvement opportunities. Develop and optimize SQL queries and reports to support data analysis and decision-making processes. Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to design and implement system enhancements and new features. Conduct requirement gathering sessions, prepare detailed documentation, and ensure clear communication between technical teams and business users. Manage projects from conception to completion, including setting timelines, milestones, and managing stakeholder expectations. Provide training and support to users on new systems and processes. Perform regular system audits and prepare reports for management highlighting potential issues and solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role within an investment firm. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management. In-depth understanding of investment operations, including residential mortgages, settlements, and trade processing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to articulate complex information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific financial software and platforms relevant to investment operations.
