Candidates local to Seattle area are preferred, but willing to consider those who can travel. 10+ years Systems Administration on IBMi Manages planning, configuration and implementation of advanced communications features on the IBMi / iSeries, i.e. APPC, APPN, TCP/IP, and other connections required. Analyzes and resolves system events by working with SST, VLIC logs, system logs, and other IBMi / iSeries utilities. Working knowledge of IBMi Navigator client and Web utilities. Excellent understanding of IBMi / iSeries system management, system monitoring, and utilities, i.e., Tivoli, Robot, iDoctor, Mimix, X-Analysis etc. IBMi Work-Management, Job Control (job Queues, job descriptions, subsystems). IBMi OS and Licensed Product Installation, Upgrades and Maintenance. Multi IBMi Systems Landscape (DDM, Mimix, SQL Packages). Understand and perform advanced HMC functions on the iSeries (scratch, O/S installs and DST).
