Qualifications: Mandatory Certifications: o FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent o Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Cost Management Specialization) Proven experience in cloud financial management with a focus on Azure. Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud billing structures, and cost optimization techniques. Proficiency with Azure tools such as Cost Management + Billing, Resource Graph, and Azure Policy for cost governance. Experience designing and enforcing resource tagging frameworks and cost allocation models. Advanced analytical and reporting skills with expertise in tools like Power BI or Excel. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Power, Azure CLI, or Terraform) for managing cloud resources and costs. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence cross-functional teams. We are seeking a skilled and certified Cloud FinOps Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure optimization. The ideal candidate will drive cloud cost efficiency, promote financial accountability across teams, and deliver actionable insights to enhance the organizations cloud financial performance. This role requires a strong background in Azure resource management, advanced analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of FinOps principles. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and optimize cloud costs across Azure resources, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved resource utilization. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor Azure spending, utilization trends, and cost forecasts. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and product teams to implement cost allocation, budgeting, and resource accountability strategies. Design and enforce tagging strategies, policies, and governance frameworks for Azure resources in line with FinOps best practices. Conduct regular Azure cost reviews, providing actionable recommendations for optimization (e.g., rightsizing, reserved instances, and savings plans). Monitor resource usage patterns to identify and eliminate waste, including unused or underutilized resources. Implement and manage Azure-specific cost management tools such as Cost Management + Billing, Azure Advisor, and Azure Monitor. Lead cost optimization initiatives, including leveraging Azure Hybrid Benefit, Spot VMs, and storage tiering for cost savings. Train stakeholders on FinOps principles, Azure billing models, and cost optimization best practices. Stay informed on new Azure services, features, and pricing updates to drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud financial management.
