Backend Development & Support: Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based backend services. Provide production support and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly. Troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Microservices & Cloud Migration: Work within a microservices architecture and contribute to the teams upcoming transition to Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration and transition of services to the cloud environment. Incident & Change Management: Manage and prioritize support tickets and issues raised by internal teams or clients. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of incidents and problems. Participate in change management processes to ensure that application updates and changes are well-documented and implemented smoothly. Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, incidents, and enhancements. Facilitate communication and coordination between teams involved in backend development, SRE, and infrastructure management. Prepare and deliver detailed reports on incident resolutions, system performance, and improvements. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: Participate in the development and enhancement of backend systems, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and security. Stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in backend development, microservices, and cloud infrastructure Experience: 5+ years of experience in Java backend development. Strong experience working with microservices and SRE practices. Familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure (or similar cloud platforms). Experience in managing production support, troubleshooting, and change management processes. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and related backend technologies. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Communication & Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and resolve issues in a timely manner.
