The focus will be on auditing projects, providing constructive feedback, and devising actionable solutions. The goal is to create more efficient processes and improve project delivery timelines. Key Requirements: Experience: Highly senior, with significant experience in project management and process optimization. Project Auditing: Proven ability to audit projects, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements. Failure Experience: Must have experienced project failures and be able to explain the root causes and how to address them. Leadership Background: Ideal candidates may have held leadership or director-level roles and are now seeking a consulting position. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to ask the right questions, identify root issues, and implement solutions to drive efficiency. Timeline: Q1: The first hire will focus on building the framework and materials for reviewing projects and running a pilot. Q2: The second hire will assess results, refine strategies, and support ongoing projects. Role Overview: As a Senior Portfolio Management Consultant, you will play a key role in building and enhancing the framework for BECUs portfolio management function. Were currently seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Management Consultant to help develop frameworks, evaluate project plans, and drive the success of new initiatives in 2025. Your expertise in project management will be critical in assessing and optimizing the execution of various projects across the organization. You will help critique, refine, and implement new strategies to ensure that projects are successful, efficient, and meet organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Framework Development: Assist in building and refining portfolio management frameworks for BECU. Project Auditing: Review project plans and assess their feasibility and executability from an external perspective. Strategic Advice: Provide constructive feedback on how projects can be improved and how teams can execute more effectively. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Con (Director of Strategic Portfolio Management) and other key stakeholders (Rick Eiel, Paul Hutchinson, Brant Ames) to ensure alignment on project priorities and strategies. Stakeholder Management: Engage with leadership teams to drive decision-making and ensure projects meet defined objectives and timelines. Political Sensitivity: Be adaptable to a dynamic work environment and new leadership, ensuring constructive engagement across teams and departments. Performance Assessment: Identify root causes of project delays or inefficiencies, and develop solutions to address these challenges. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum 11-15 years in project management, with experience in strategic roles, portfolio management, and auditing/reviewing projects. Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide actionable, strategic advice to improve project performance. Leadership: Proven experience leading or managing projects, with the ability to influence and work effectively with leadership teams. Industry Experience: Experience in financial services is a plus, but not a requirement. Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a focus on consulting and advising. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in leadership and strategy.
