Senior Java and Angular Front-End/UI Developer Location: Austin Texas Position will be remote in Texas . Program will allow candidates who are within the State of Texas (Any location within the State of Texas). Overall Experience Minimum 14+ Years Must At least 1 or 2 Genuine State Client Experience is Must Candidates Must be Local to Texas Only Required Experience with 1 or more of the state of Texas government agencies Job Details : Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluates user request for new or modified program, such as for financial or human resource management systems, clinical research trial results, statistical study of traffic patterns, or analyzing and developing specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. Consults with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development. Perform front-end (User Interface) application development activities for several HHSC applications. Activities will include replacing the existing Java/Eclipse based user interface with a modern and responsive Angular Typescript framework; converting SOAP-based web service calls to RESTful service calls; and migrating the deployment environment from WebSphere to JBoss EAP. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Hands-on experience in Front End/UI development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications on the JEE application development platform Hands-on experience participating in all phases of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) Hands-on development experience implementing applications utilizing any JEE Application Server, Authentication and Authorization, Caching strategies Hands-on programming experience in following languages / technologies: Java, JEE, REST/SOAP web services, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Typescript, Spring, Java Server Pages, Struts, JSON, XML, JWT, Maven, OpenAPI v3, OAuth, Pos Experience implementing client-facing applications with responsive design and development Experience implementing SPAs with at least 4 years of experience implementing SPAs using Angular TypeScript framework. Experience implementing user interfaces with at least 4 years of experience implementing using HTML5 and CSS3. Experience implementing web services including at least 4 years of experience implementing RESTful services security using JWT, OAuth, and other related technologies/standards. Experience implementing client-facing applications using JSP and Struts Experience in development of self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components Experience in implementing best practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability and maintainability.
