USC/GC CareFirst is seeking a Mainframe Support Engineer to assist with daily monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications and provide on-call support. This environment is predominantly DB2, JCL, Cobol and ZOS. Shift schedule will be 8 hours overnight 5x per week Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Friday. Shifts will be 6:00am 2:00pm OR 10:00pm - 6:00am Real-time monitoring for both Mainframe and Distributed systems in order to proactively detect and prevent service disruption. Responsible to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems through resolution.
