Build distributed systems to process data at scale, leveraging Spark's features like RDDs, DataFrames, Datasets, and Spark Streaming. Write efficient and optimized Spark jobs using Java to perform data transformations, aggregations, and complex calculations. Implement real-time data processing solutions using Spark Streaming or Structured Streaming. Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, external systems) and transform it into a consumable format for analytics and business intelligence. Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows. Collaborate with DevOps teams for continuous integration, testing, and deployment. Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize Spark jobs for better scalability and reduced execution time. Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation. Stay up to date with the latest developments in Big Data technologies and Java frameworks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java programming and developing distributed systems. Strong expertise in Apache Spark (batch processing, real-time streaming, Spark SQL, etc.). Experience working with Hadoop ecosystems (Hive, HBase, etc.) and other big data technologies. Proficiency in using Java 8/11, with knowledge of collections, concurrency, and data structures. Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data ingestion and processing. Strong understanding of SQL for querying relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data solutions in the cloud. Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
