Data Scientist or Data Analyst with expertise in predictive analytics and machine learning. Job Duties Medicaid data is very complex and needs to be analyzed carefully, with deeper understanding of the data structures, entity relationships, data quality, and lineage before it can be applied for use cases surrounding policy decisions and reform initiatives. The client has built a team of data analysts that is well versed in understanding, analyzing, and reporting Medicaid data. The Data Analysis team has played an important role in several key data analysis projects involving: Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) performance measurement trends. Data reconciliation with health plans. Encounter data quality reporting. Review of the effectiveness of claims processing edits. COVID-19 pandemic response dashboards. These projects have delivered analysis outputs including complete documentation of the SDLC process as well as results in straightforward charts, data tables, and Tableau visualizations. The client has also been supporting OHIP in setting up a predictive analytics platform using machine learning techniques. For this task, we will continue to provide advanced data analytics support to NYSDOH and other Medicaid stakeholders by assisting in various business functions, such as program design and evaluation, policy decisions, executive reporting, and publication. Data analytics support will be provided for the following areas, as authorized by OHIP DOS, including but not limited to: Performance measurement trend analysis. Data quality assessment. Predictive analytics using Medicaid data. Fraud and abuse detection using Medicaid data. Researching and writing whitepapers. Creating proof of concepts and models. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or Data Analytics. A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience. Required Skills SQL, Advanced Excel, R or Python, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics. At least 3 years of experience in data science or data analytics. Preferred Skills Knowledge of Medicaid and Healthcare data.
