This position will last until January of 2026. Please note this is more of Business Analyst position than just a SharePoint Developer. Candidate must use their own equipment, does not have to be in NC but if they are that would be a bonus. Job Description The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist - Junior - ECM Solutions Designer for a 12-month contract engagement for the Engineering Application Services Department. This person will be responsible for business analysis and solution design in support of NCDOTs Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to NCDOTs Transportation Life Cycle. This individual will define and prioritize SharePoint and web based projects delivering content management and business process support on behalf of these business units, translate design requirements into user stories, tracking project status, managing communication and dependencies. This individual will also perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing, coordinate test validation and implementation for these projects, ensuring customers are informed and trained, sufficient help and training materials are created and delivered, and that operational support is arranged. This individual should have experience with standard business analysis processes, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation. The individual must be knowledgeable and experienced with project management, product ownership and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This individual must have proven SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types. Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to NCDOTs Transportation Life Cycle. Translate design requirements into clearly defined and manageable user stories for the Development Team. Prioritize and track progress on work items and deliverables. Ensure work items and deliverables are scheduled, completed, and delivered to the clients on time with high quality and excellent, usable documentation. Document the program and project deliverables as assigned. Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineered business processes. Test SharePoint and web-based content management deliverables as required to support the re-engineered business processes. Draft and deliver training materials for changed business processes and IT applications. Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes to meet business needs. Provide Quality Control for program and project deliverables. Mentor and provide guidance to team members. Required Skills: (8+ years) Designing SharePoint and web-based content solutions Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance testing Working knowledge of AGILE software development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types Strong analytical and conceptual skills Positive interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users Excellent organizational and presentation skills Strong Microsoft Suite experience (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Proven experience evaluating business processes and re-engineering Proven experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and other user documentation experience as a Business Analyst Preferred Skills (3+ years) Experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst Experience in Quality Assurance testing Motivated self-starter that can work with minimal supervision Working knowledge of NCDOTs Preconstruction business process Understanding of NCDOTs Transportation Life Cycle business process Extensive experience with SharePoint Designer or Owner roles Demonstrated experience with AGILE development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps tool suite Experience with Balsamiq Wireframes Keywords: quality analyst information technology green card North Carolina SharePoint Business Analyst at Remote - only USC and GC [email protected] |
