Job Summary: Ideally looking for a Sr. BA with some PM ability to provide senior horsepower for a Lab Informatics project (part time) and to provide Sr. BA support for IT more broadly. Looking to start in January Responsible for supporting a large-scale lab informatics implementation and other strategic IT projects through a full project life cycle of initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and close-out. The role will typically involve working with executives, key stakeholders, consultants and technology vendors to create artifacts such as business requirements documents, workflow diagrams, use cases and user stories, reports and project plans. Essential Duties: Support the development of detailed business requirements documents (BRD) from interviews and discussions with process owners, SMEs and other stakeholders. Manage the project plan, drive project completion, maintain control of scope and ensure project artifacts are maintained. Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies with stakeholders. Conduct/oversee the software validation and testing process. Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders. Ensure that the scope and requirements contained in the BRD are met. Establish a communication plan, including moderating internal meetings; stakeholder status updates; and other communications as required during the project. Articulate the pros and cons of alternative approaches to stakeholders with a focus on value. Enforce a change control process throughout the project lifecycle, proactively monitoring and controlling any changes in scope, and gaining approval/resolution of any changes among all key internal and external stakeholders. Work together with consultants, vendors, IT staff members and other appropriate departments to ensure that the business needs have been met. Collaborate with consultants/contractors to optimize system performance including understanding, coordinating and seamlessly implementing changes required. Routinely provide status updates to the Business Relationship Manager and other key stakeholders. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or Computer Information Systems or other related field required. Minimum of five to seven years experience in Business Analysis overseeing enterprise software implementations. Experience working in the life sciences or other highly regulated vertical preferred. Computer Skills Advanced knowledge of internet programs and the Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
