Job Title : FinOps Specialist 100% Remote Required Qualifications: Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including query optimization, resource monitors, and credit management. Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of query execution plans, joins, and indexing. Familiarity with data architecture concepts such as clustering, partitioning, and materialized views. Proficiency in data pipeline and ETL/ELT optimization processes. Experience with scripting languages like Python for automating monitoring and reporting tasks. Experience applying FinOps principles to monitor and optimize cloud platform costs, with a specific focus on Snowflake. Familiarity with tools for cost monitoring and visualization (e.g., Tableau, Looker, DataDog). Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to identify and address inefficiencies. Comfortable conducting training sessions and developing user documentation. Total 7-10 Years experience and last 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake query optimization and 2+ years in FinOps practices. Experience working with large-scale data platforms and supporting diverse user groups, including analysts and data scientists. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with cloud cost management platforms (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management). Knowledge of Snowflake account configurations, multi-cluster warehouses, and access control best practices.
