Below is a typical job description for this role: Job Overview The SAP S/4HANA Testing Lead will manage and execute comprehensive testing strategies for SAP S/4HANA projects. This includes planning, coordination, and execution of testing phases such as unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to ensure the system meets business requirements and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy and Planning Develop and document detailed test strategies, plans, and scenarios for SAP S/4HANA projects. Define the scope of testing for each phase (functional, integration, regression, UAT). Identify and manage test environments, tools, and data requirements. Test Execution and Management Lead the execution of test scripts, ensuring alignment with business processes and configurations in SAP S/4HANA. Coordinate testing activities with functional consultants, developers, and business users. Monitor and manage test progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively. Defect Management Track, analyze, and report defects found during testing phases. Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Team Leadership and Coordination Lead a team of testers, assigning responsibilities and ensuring effective collaboration. Provide guidance and training on testing best practices and tools. Collaboration with Stakeholders Work closely with project managers, functional leads, and business stakeholders to align testing activities with project timelines. Ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) is effectively planned and executed. Test Tools and Automation Leverage test automation tools (e.g., HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Worksoft, Tricentis Tosca) to optimize testing processes. Identify opportunities for automation in regression and performance testing. Reporting and Documentation Provide regular updates on test progress, risks, and issues to project leadership. Document test results, test evidence, and defect reports comprehensively. Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in SAP testing, with at least 3+ years in SAP S/4HANA. Experience leading testing efforts for large-scale SAP projects. Technical Skills Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Sales). Proficiency in test management tools like HP ALM, JIRA, or SAP Solution Manager. Knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks (manual and automated). Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to lead and mentor a testing team effectively. Certifications (Optional but Preferred) SAP S/4HANA certification.
