The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of a Power Apps Developer, hereafter referred to as a Developer, who meets the general qualification of a Software Developer and the specifications outlined in this document for the client. This low code developer is tasked with developing new and help maintain existing applications written in Microsoft Power Platform and includes technologies like Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and other related technologies. This Power Apps Developer must have a strong, hands-on, demonstrable background building and deploying custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps platform. This developer should possess prior experience with Dataverse and have utilized Connectors for Oracle and SQL Server databases, along with a solid understanding of how real-time and analytical systems can work together Responsibilities: The key duties include development, and maintenance and also helping set up, design, develop, and mature the low code development platform and capabilities at TPWD. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing custom applications software, and helping throughout the lifecycle, conducting unit testing, using and recommending best practices, and producing documentation. The developer needs to have a big picture idea on how the various components work together and should provide guidance on how it could integrate with other TPWD processes and applications. In this role, the developer interprets project requirements and implements and maintains the components in Microsoft Power platform and other related technologies; works with business personnel to understand the requirements and determine optimal solutions; develops the custom applications, provides after-hours support if needed; works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment; performs project-related additional duties as assigned; complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures Mandatory Skills: 5 years of Experience in application development and maintenance, computer system analysis and testing in the field of information technology. - 5 years of Experience in Microsoft Power platform 3 years of Experience with Microsoft Dataverse as storage, data modelling and management 3 years of experience with Power App Custom application development with experience in Canvas and Model driven app 2 years of experience with Power Pages 2 years of experience with Power Fx Formula language 2 years of experience with Restful APIs 2 years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, HTML, and JSON. 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and other Azure Services 2 years of experience with Pre-built and custom Connectors, and Gateways to connect to data sources securely.
