Location Remote EST Time zone

This role sits within Innovative Medicine (Pharma) R&D Technology.

The team supports the R&D IT data lake, which houses data from multiple source systems (SAP, Planisware (PPM), etc.). The backend is Databricks

They are looking to create reusable data packages to be used by their finance business partners. The team is moving away from creating dashboards and instead, the finance users will leverage AI to pull information needed.

Core Agile BA/PA skills in an enterprise environment are needed
 (gathering requirements, translating them, writing user stories, working with technical teams, etc.).

They
 need to understand the finance function
 and concepts to be able to hold their own with finance partners. This is a MUST-have. The 2nd round interview is with the
finance partner who has been rejecting candidates due to lack of finance knowledge.

They don't need to be a finance expert, but someone who has a background in finance or worked on financial projects is what we are looking for.

They also
 must have experience with data analysis and/or data-related projects
 to understand data concepts at a high-level (i.e. different data schemas, data lakes,
etc.), since this is a data-focused project.

Beginner/intermediate SQL is required

Fully remote, but must sit in EST.

We are seeking an experienced Product Analyst to join our dynamic team within the Pharma R&D Technology Integrated Data Platforms Product Group. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in product and business analysis
and a solid understanding of financial processes. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and finance stakeholders, ensuring the development of reusable, scalable data assets that support enterprise-wide financial and portfolio
decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders across the finance function to understand business needs, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.

Develop clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and other artifacts to guide development teams.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, test cases, and user guides.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, architects, testers, and business stakeholders) to ensure alignment and successful delivery of financial data solutions.

Translate complex financial requirements into scalable data assets, leveraging best practices in data modeling and governance.

Act as a liaison between finance users and technical teams, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Conduct functional testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure that delivered solutions meet business needs.

Analyze financial data and reporting needs to propose innovative solutions for portfolio management, forecasting, budgeting, and other key finance activities.

Ensure data solutions comply with organizational policies and standards, including security and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

3+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in an enterprise environment.

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

Knowledge/understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio management.

Proficiency in creating user stories, test cases, and acceptance criteria using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Familiarity with data modeling, data governance, and creating reusable data assets.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working with relational databases, financial systems, or reporting tools is highly desirable.

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).

Experience with financial software, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Knowledge of SQL and other query languages is a plus.
