Job Title : Performance engineer Hybrid in Phoenix AZ (Relocation is Fine) Interview Mode : Teams Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Java development with a strong focus on performance engineering. Java & Spring Boot Expertise: Strong knowledge of Java programming, including experience with Spring Boot frameworks, JVM internals, and microservices architecture. Performance Tuning: Extensive experience in performance tuning, optimization of multi-threaded Java applications, JVM garbage collection tuning, memory management, and database query optimization. Profiling and Monitoring Tools: Experience with JVM profiling tools such as JProfiler, YourKit, VisualVM, AppDynamics, or similar. Performance Testing: Hands-on experience with performance testing frameworks and tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or similar. Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes. Database Optimization: Expertise in tuning relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) for performance. Benchmarking & Load Testing: Strong experience in conducting load, stress, and scalability testing to identify potential performance bottlenecks. CI/CD Integration: Familiar with integrating performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline and working with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab for automated performance validation. Programming Skills: Proficient in Java and familiar with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and dependency management. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex performance issues across multiple layers of the stack (code, database, network, etc.).
