Role: Sr. Systems Engineer Location: Temple, TX 76504 Hybrid Type: Contract Top Qualifications: Windows, Datacentre systems including Backup, Storage Admin Azure Database, MS Suites (O365, Collaboration Tools) Required Skills: Azure SQL Azure Networking Services Azure Storage Service Encryption Azure Virtual Network VMware Azure Solutions (VAS) Azure Automation Azure Administration Certifications Required: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certification Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure Virtual Network, Azure SQL, Azure Networking Services, Azure Storage Service Encryption, VMware Azure Solutions (VAS), Azure administration, and Azure Automation. 6+ years experience implementing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting: Microsoft Azure VMWare 6.7 and up ESXi Hosts Exchange and Office 365 Platform Microsoft Operating systems (e.g., Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and Security). Backup and disaster recovery solutions. Must have the following experience: Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 (3+ years) Microsoft Systems Center 2016 and up (3+ years) Administration and architecting of Azure Cloud workloads (3+ years) Carbon Black HP Nibble or other tier 1 SAN technologies Troubleshooting and configuring peripherals Proven experience working with major 3rd party IT vendors and service providers to build and leverage relationships to ensure the best quality of service is achieved. Proven experience moving systems from on-prem to cloud. Proven experience defining, implementing, and managing infrastructure processes, practices, and standards (both on-prem and in the cloud). Knowledge of PCI Compliance standards and ITIL foundation principles. Bachelors degree is preferred. Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to empathize with customers. Must be highly self-motivated. Architects and administrates cloud system and data infrastructure, actively evaluates, and proposes the leverage of cloud-based tools and new technologies. Owner and architect of evaluating, recommending, scheduling, and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades, patches, configuration changes and repairs. Leverage industry and vendor relationships to research, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging software and hardware tools and platforms. Owner and gatekeeper of hardware support and maintenance agreements, software licensing, system certificate expiration tracking and renewals. Lead owner of Website hosting platform and web domain management Infrastructure key relationship lead for new product and support service interaction with major vendor partners: Microsoft, HP, Dell, Mitel, Mimecast, Carbon Black, and others Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects within the Azure environment. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of Azure solutions. Provide technical guidance and support for Azure Virtual Network, Azure SQL, and Azure Networking Services. Manage and optimize Azure Storage Service Encryption to ensure data security and compliance. Implement and maintain VMware Azure Solutions (VAS) to enhance virtualization capabilities. Administer and automate Azure environments to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitor project progress and performance, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risks associated with Azure projects to ensure successful outcomes. Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical specifications. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and company policies in all project activities. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver customized Azure solutions. Qualifications: Strong background in Azure Virtual Network, Azure SQL, and Azure Networking Services. Expertise in Azure Storage Service Encryption and VMware Azure Solutions (VAS). Experience in Azure administration and automation to streamline processes. Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Proficiency in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and adapt to changing environments. Relevant certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar.
