This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures for state-level systems, including the IES Gateway and analytics platforms. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture Design end-to-end data architecture using Microsoft Fabric. Configure OneLake storage and Synapse Analytics workspaces. Implement Power BI integration for analytics and reporting. Integration Design Develop integration patterns between the IES Gateway and analytics platform. Implement Delta Lake and medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers). Create real-time data ingestion and data quality frameworks. Data Lake House Architecture Implement a modern lake house architecture using Delta Lake for performance and reliability. Data Governance Establish frameworks using Microsoft Purview for data lineage, quality, and compliance. Implement row-level security, data masking, and audit logging. Data Pipeline Development Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks. Optimize Spark configurations and implement caching and partitioning strategies. Security Framework Design security patterns aligned with federal and state regulations for sensitive data.Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience 6+ years in data architecture and engineering. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark. Recent experience working with Microsoft Fabric. Technical Skills Microsoft Fabric Expertise in data integration, pipeline management, and visualization. Proficiency with OneLake, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI. Azure Databricks Expertise in Delta Lake and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing. Experience with Databricks clusters and integration with Azure services. Familiarity with MLflow and data governance tools. Programming & Query Languages Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases. Experience in Python for scripting and data analysis (e.g., Pandas, PySpark). Preferred Skills Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of data mesh architecture. Familiarity with grant management systems and federal/state compliance requirements.
