Job Title: SAP FI/CO Consultant Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Experience Required: 10+ years Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Serve as an interface with assigned business unit or functional area such as Sales, Operations, Engineering, Service, and Finance for the purpose of: o Business technology strategy development o Solution discovery o Service management o Project portfolio management o Relationship management Validate and ensure design integrity of business process/business application solutions to address complex cross-functional needs. Oversee software application functional specification development and configuration for complex individual projects and/or across multiple, concurrent projects. Develop testing and data conversion strategies. Identify and recommend industry Best Known Methods (BKMs) for integrated solution design and standards, and develop and enforce defined standards. Keep abreast of technologies in the market and drive new technology evaluations. Oversee business application functional support services to meet: o Performance o Availability o Customer service level agreement o Customer satisfaction targets Ensure systems are monitored and tuned for availability and performance, and that rigorous root cause analysis is performed and preventative/corrective actions are implemented. Oversee execution of application lifecycle activities. Plan and ensure delivery of project and support services within the area of responsibility, maintaining allocated budget. Develop project budgets and deep understanding of cost model and cost drivers for the service(s). Develop and implement service area budgets and cost optimization initiatives. Responsible for timely renewal of maintenance and subscription contracts. Monitor and ensure adherence to GIS project management, software application development, testing, service management, change management, RCA, and other relevant processes, standards, governance, and controls. May manage the execution of SOX controls and testing, and support internal and external audits. Plan and manage large-scale, complex cross-functional business application projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with the guardrails of scope, timeline, budget, and quality. Oversee vendor delivery in an outcome-based SOW and/or time and material engagement, performing services across multiple projects or service areas. Ensure contingent workforce utilization is optimized. Work with management and strategic providers to identify gaps and opportunities and recommend improvement plans. May approve contingent worker timesheets/SOW costs. Functional Knowledge: Regarded as the functional/technical expert in their particular field. Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function. Experience in creating and configuring business models that enable servicing of equipment installed at customer sites via after-market services and spares business unit.
