He is not looking for strictly a developer (he said they normally dont have the proper mindset). SRE AWS Golang Python Full Stack Docker Observability Better to Prior One Capital One candidate & if not need strong financial candidates and local to VA only Location: McLean, VA is the target, then Richmond, VA but really wants to keep it in VA Quantity: 10 Rate -65/hr. on c2c Interview Process: zoom he will tell someone that something is broken and he wants to see how the candidates would find the issue and fix it. Looking at how they are breaking down the problem, looking at it and pitching a solution to the position. Duration: ~12 months LOB: CORE Servicing enterprise org Top MUST HAVE: Reliability and operational set mindset. Observability focus how to make sure they have the quality of success for the platform Development with Python and Go they will be making changes to the code base and doing the development. Scala Need Local candidates. Organization is focused on SRE practices, reliability. They are focused on an internal app with batch processing. They feel they should always be green i.e. dont fix the stuff that is not broken. They are going through a revamp. Mainly working with Go, Scala and Python. Having good experience with SRE practices, Monitoring tools: new relic, splunk or Observe. They are a true extension of the dev team, they want to give the dev team the ability to work on bug fix and new code dev. They do dashboard enhancements, use homegrown apps for automated delivery and recovery. They would like to make sure they can run trex from the dev team to make sure no issues for the dev team. Would like these people to start early January. Priority would be current contractors that still have tenure but contracts are ending due to budgets, then would look at new submissions. Looking to level up the platforms, they are seen as a true extension of this team. He wants engineers that have the mindset of how do I break the system and then what would need to be done to prevent that from happening. Reason for need: there is a larger project with an important deadline for Mid Feb but they are also supporting features for other LOB features that are net new. Ideally looking for someone that has been in a critical or highly available/visible/critical platform would be helpful.
