QA Automation Engineer with Proficiency in Java Coding Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid, Locals Only) no flex Visa Eligibility: No H1B & CPT Rate: $50-55 MOI: Video Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong proficiency in Java coding to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications. This role requires local candidates who can work in a hybrid model in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and create comprehensive test plans and strategies. Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. Identify, log, and track bugs and defects in collaboration with the development team. Perform thorough manual testing as needed to complement automation efforts. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery. Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in QA automation and implement best practices. Provide detailed test reports and analysis to stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications Proficient in Java programming with hands-on experience in writing and debugging code. Strong expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit). Experience with API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or similar. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI/CD. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. Ability to perform manual testing when necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Knowledge of database testing and ability to write SQL queries.
