Role: Sr. Business Analyst with STATE EXP LOCALS ONLY Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 10055 Description Under the supervision of the Assistant Project Director, this Business Analyst will oversee and manage all aspects of the business analysis activities of systems implementation, testing and maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for an array of duties including but not limited to: ensure all business analysis and testing documentations are developed, reviewed, and updated adhering established standards and acceptable forms. Duties Analyze existing system documentation and related artifacts to elicit detailed requirements. Analyze and understand as-is business processes and systems sufficiently to establish to-be workflows and designs. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs), executive teams, managers, program directors, and end users to meet the business needs of the project. Conduct requirements elicitation, confirmation, and validation processes. Produce the necessary project artifacts that capture all stated, confirmed, and validated requirements. Collaborate with the HESC team on requirements definition to confirm that system requirements align with state and federal standards and strategy. Adhere to internal controls, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the systems development life cycle. Provide guidance to application development resource(s), through product backlogs, user stories, roadmaps, sprint plans, and related artifacts. Support software validation through user acceptance and similar test strategies. Provide project management support as needed. Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
