This position solves complex problems and challenges to improve the reliability and performance of the database environment. Specifically, this position is responsible for daily maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis and tuning, troubleshooting, problem resolution and user assistance required to enhance the application database platforms. Ability to use a scripting language (such as Python) to automate database administration tasks. Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud database technologies NOTES: or AWS or GCP Monitors and maintains database platforms. Investigates related problems, implements solutions, achieves efficiency gains, and automates repetitive tasks. Defines and champions database best practices. Performs and/or automates routine database maintenance operations and tasks. Improves and maintains the backup and recovery process. Utilizes database performance / modeling expertise in support of design, infrastructure, query analysis, security and integrity issues. Coordinates data integrity and develops / maintains logical and physical data models. Organizes the integration of data and movement activities and builds data migration strategies to improve operating efficiency.
