Team: expected to be onsite 5 days/week Sr Manager Cloud Infrastructure Skills: Hands on with AWS Having a strong understanding and building Helping establish, monitor and managing The big platform that's being built out is being built out by a 3rd party-- his team will own the monitoring, and addressing issues Managing a helpdesk The helpdesk is run by another vendor 2 of the people are Transmedics employees Sofan-- lead executive support Xander-- MAC focused Also managing the vendor employees 2 during the day and 1 at night-- This is 20x7 Have at least a few years of management experience coming into the role Really need someone who can take charge of the helpdesk area Will be 50/50 hands on vs. management up front- then might transition Soft skills: Effective communicator Calm-- lifesaving business and people can get emotional on things A decent amount of experience working with a vendor on a day to day basis Industry experience: This is a plus, not needed, but should have a sense of urgency Hours: Standard 8-5 but also on call if needed As we continue to experience rapid growth and expansion, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Cloud, Infrastructure and Operations to oversee the dail operations of our critical cloud and IT infratructure team. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE: As the Senior Manager of Cloud Infrastructure and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company's technological infrastructure and cloud operations support our mission to provide life-saving solutions to patients with end-stage organ failure. In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for managing a 24x7 Service Desk team, overseeing infrastructure, desktop support, and the digital experience, and efficiently handling procurement management and change control processes. This role requires a strong leader who can help scale our operations to meet the demands of a high-growth business. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and manage the 24z7 Service Desk team, ensuring continuous support and response to infrastructure and cloud-related issues. Provide mentorship and daily guidance to team members, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment. Coordinate staff assignments and ensure efficient resource utilization to meet team goals. Infrastructure and Cloud Operations: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Support the management of cloud operations, optimizing performance and cost-efficiency. Address and resolve infrastructure and cloud-related issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions. Digital Experience and Desktop Support: Ensure a seamless digital experience for both internal and external stakeholders by monitoring and enhancing the performance of digital systems and services. Manage desktop support to meet the needs of our growing workforce, guaranteeing their technological tools are fully functional. Procurement Management: Manage the procurement process for technology resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely acquisition of necessary hardware and software. Scalability and Growth: Collaborate with other departments to align infrastructure and cloud operations with the company's growth objectives. Contributes to the execution of scaling initatives for infrastructure and cloud resources as the business expands. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration). Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within infrastructure and cloud operations. Solid technical background with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, networking, and IT infrastructure. Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry is a plus. Ability to work onsite most days to ensure effective collaboration and support for the team.
