The flagship system provides critical data by combining pre-operative imaging with real-time intraoperative performance insights. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products that improve surgical precision and patient outcomes. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Designer to join our clients team. In this role, you will drive the discovery, design, workflows, and usability testing for both surgical navigation and data products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research and UX design, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience in the medical product industry. Familiarity with hardware/software integration is a plus. Responsibilities: Conduct user research through customer interviews, usability testing, and surveys to gather insights and identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors. Create and maintain user journey maps, personas, and scenarios to inform design decisions. Translate research findings into design concepts, requirements, wireframes, and prototypes for seamless product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, stakeholders) to ensure user-centered design principles are integrated throughout the development process. Develop and iterate on workflow and interaction designs, ensuring an intuitive user experience. Utilize existing Design System and UI styles to maintain consistency across all products. Continuously learn about emerging industry trends, competitor medical devices, and best practices in UX design. Focus on improving user satisfaction and productivity by streamlining workflows and minimizing user errors. Measure the impact of design changes on user efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that improvements contribute directly to user outcomes. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in UX design and user research with a proven track record of shipping products (from design through to implementation and release). Experience in conducting user research, creating user journey maps, and performing usability testing. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Miro). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex research findings into actionable design solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence stakeholders. Familiarity with hardware/software integration and its challenges. Strong proficiency in interaction design and a solid understanding of user-centered design principles. Experience in the medical product industry and knowledge of industry regulations such as IEC 62366-1, FDA Human Factors Guidance, and IEC 62304 is preferred. Must be local to the Seattle area. Nice to Have: Experience working in a regulated industry (medical devices, government, aerospace, etc.). Familiarity with UI kits or design systems for maintaining design consistency across products. Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in medical device design. Experience with Jira and working in an Agile environment.
