Data Engineer with Lakehouse Exp Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite) Contract Rate: 66/hr C2C or 56/hr W2 Job Description: Must have: Lakehouse experience. 10+ Years of IT experience. Job Responsibilities Include: Develop domain and data models to provide standardized reporting solutions to the firm (and understand differences between the two) Design and develop data ingest and transform processes Develop automation, governance and reporting solutions to provide firm and regulatory mandated controls Work as part of a global team using Agile software methodologies Partner with Tax risk, compliance and reporting teams Use data to drive change throughout the Tax business Basic Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases 5+ years of experience with building workflows (ETL pipelines) Preferred Skills: Experience with data architecture, modeling and infrastructure Proficiency in Python, Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem MS/BS in Computer Science or relevant industry experience. Experience working with large and disparate datasets Self-starter, motivated, and good communication skills Problem solver with attention to detail who can see complex problems in the data space through end to end Willingness to work in a fast paced environment Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion Interest in applying technical knowledge to Financial Services industry Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
