Role Description:

Agile Scrum MasterScrum Master will be aligned to serve Scrum team(s) to modernize our legacy applications and adding new functionalities to our Global Family Office Technology solutions.The Scrum Master facilitates the planning, tracking, provides status and other day-to-day activities for a product delivery team. This role requires solid practical Agile/Scrum experience and techniques, as well as theoretical knowledge. The Scrum Master collaborates intensively with their team members across both Business and Technology disciplines providing mentoring and coaching around Agile principles and practices. In addition, he/she acts as a servant leader and aids with the resolution of blocking challenges and risk management and serving in SAFe events.Candidates must be local in Chicagoland and required to be on-site in office 3 times a week. MAJOR DUTIES: Serve, lead, coach and support one or multiple distributed cross-functional Agile Scrum Teams on the delivery of IT and business products and solutions. Accountable for their Scrum teams effectiveness. Act as Agile subject matter expert, thought leader, and mentor with extensive knowledge of Agile Scrum and SAFe processes and best practices. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and facilitating all the Scrum events. Lead risk/impediment/blocker identification, management, and resolution including coordination and facilitation across teams. Ongoing monitoring, tracking, and reporting teams delivery progress. Prepare and deliver teams statuses. Manage and communicate teams releases. Support Product management to obtain healthy product backlog through coaching best practices. Manage, track, and present teams metrics include delivery and flow metrics. Assist in facilitating SAFe events. Lead and support their teams Planning Interval (PI) planning including preparation, facilitation, dependency management, risk identification, documentation, readout, and continuous improvement. Promote practices that ensure delivery of quality products and transparency to the maintenance of delivery progress, quality and schedule. Establish strong working relationships and promote bi-directional communication within and across teams. Maintain strong relationships within the team including product management/owner and technical subject matter experts. Develop and grow trust across the Scrum team(s), Business, and Technology. Foster an environment of continuous improvement / learning and drive improvement to the team.

Desirable Skills:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Bachelors degree or equivalent. At least 7 years of relevant experience in Agile environment managing disturbed cross-functional teams. Agile Scrum Master and/or SAFe certification. Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills. Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others and effectively in teams. Able to effectively facilitate discussions and suggest alternative approaches. Experience with developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines, coordinating timelines and efforts and operating under tight time constraints. Strong leadership and organizational skills with excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, project management, and individual and team building skills. Experience with developing, testing and deploying software utilizing a rapid, iterative delivery method. Able to organize, moderate, and demonstrate value-add principles and practices to the teams. Understand all facets of the software development life cycle including planning, requirements management, development, quality assurance, change management and release management. Exposure or awareness of continuous integration and test-driven development practices, test automation and tools. Empowered self-starter comfortable to take the lead and manage multiple initiatives with ability to effectively collaborate across teams and departments. Knowledge and experience in tools such ADO and Confluence a plus. Experience in the financial service industry is a plus.
