Interview Mode: In-person interview needed. No option of WFH/ Hybrid. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Production Support Engineer with extensive experience in data management, cloud computing, and incident management. This role requires expertise in Snowflake's architecture and features, including data modeling, SQL query writing, performance tuning, and optimization. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process automation to enhance application stability and reduce operational downtime. Key Responsibilities: SQL & ETL Expertise: Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures; familiar with ETL processes and data pipelines. Snowflake Knowledge: Extensive experience with Snowflake's unique features, including semi-structured data handling, data sharing, and security mechanisms. Performance Tuning: Focus on performance optimization, cost optimization, and troubleshooting within the Snowflake environment. Production Support: At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in production support, resolving application issues, and ensuring smooth operation in live environments. Incident Management: Handle incident resolution, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure timely resolution of production issues. Business Continuity: Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP), handle migration tasks, and manage activities related to holiday schedules and special events. Automation & Efficiency: Identify manual tasks, automate processes, and improve efficiency using scripts and tools. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate issues/discrepancies by debugging code, analyzing logs, and performing root cause analysis to resolve production issues. Stability Improvements: Monitor and improve application stability by identifying recurring issues and providing permanent solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in IT, with at least 3+ years in production support. SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts. Snowflake Expertise: Deep knowledge of Snowflake's data modeling, performance tuning, cost management, and features like semi-structured data and data sharing. Cloud Experience: Solid experience with cloud computing environments, preferably with Snowflake or similar platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Incident Management: Demonstrated experience in handling production incidents, troubleshooting, and working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Automation: Ability to automate manual processes and improve operational workflows. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities to handle discrepancies and performance issues. Desirable Skills: Certifications: Snowflake certification or other cloud certifications. Experience with Cloud Data Warehousing: Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data modeling. Tool Expertise: Familiarity with automation tools and monitoring platforms for efficient support and management.
